I stopped calling out at night
I used to wake my husband every time I needed to get up. Now I take hold of the rail, the little light comes on, and I go. He sleeps through and so, mostly, do I.

Getting in and out of bed
A padded rail, a pull strap and a soft nightlight, so getting up is your own business again.

One payment, one product, and nothing to cancel. No membership, no monthly fee, no app account. We think charging you every month for comfort is a strange way to run a company.
Getting out of bed becomes a negotiation. You sit up slowly, find the edge of the mattress, and reach for something that is never quite in the right place — a nightstand, a windowsill, sometimes nothing at all.
Anyone who reaches for furniture to sit up or stand
People who wake in the night and would rather not call out
Also for: Adult children setting up a parent's bedroom from a distance
The rail's flat plate goes between mattress and base. No tools, no bolts, no drilling.
One strap runs under the bed and buckles. Pull it firm and the rail stops moving.
The nightlight clicks onto the rail and turns itself on when you move. Charge it once a month.
Simple on purpose. Complexity is the number one reason people send a product like this back, so we left it out.
The padded rail slides between the mattress and the base and is held by a strap that goes underneath. It gives you one firm place to put your hand instead of the nightstand.
The webbing ladder strap anchors at the foot of the bed. You pull yourself up hand over hand, at your own pace, without twisting.
A small motion nightlight clips to the rail and gives a low warm glow when you swing your legs out. No fumbling for a lamp switch at three in the morning.

No tools, which I did not believe until I did it. The strap under the bed is the part that matters — pull it properly tight and the rail does not budge.

I ordered one for my mother and ended up buying a second for myself after a hip operation. The pull strap is the bit I use most.

The rail is sturdy and I am glad of it. The nightlight is dimmer than I expected — enough to see the floor, not enough to find your slippers. I use a lamp as well.

That mattered more than I would have admitted. It is padded fabric, the colour of the bed, and visitors do not comment on it.

First two nights I could not get the rhythm of the ladder strap. By the end of the week I was sitting up without thinking about it.
