Emberly Comfort is eleven people in a converted warehouse on Fulton Market in Chicago. We answer our own telephone.
Why these products
The company started because a member of our family could not work the heating pad she had been given. It had nine buttons, a handset, and a cord that had to reach a socket. She stopped using it within a week.
So we make the plainest version of each thing we can: one button where there has to be one, none where there does not, wide straps instead of small hooks, and printed instructions in large type with photographs.
The no-subscription promise
You pay once. There is no membership, no monthly charge, no box that arrives on its own, and nothing to cancel. We know several of the best-known brands in this category enrol people in recurring charges at checkout. We do not, and we never will.
